Gosh, the Kenyan shilling is at its all-time low and today and you get 15.25 shillings for 1 Swedish krona (used to be around 10 shillings to 1 krona)!

Ironically that means that I get more shillings every time I draw from my Swedish bank account, as long as the income comes from Sweden or US… However, commodity prices have been sky-rocketing since the beginning of the year as well.

"Cheap" for a Swede in Kenya, but terribly expensive for Kenyans, particularly when going abroad.

The shilling on Monday fell to the lowest level, exchanging at Sh102 to the dollar.

Sad day. Kenya need more people like Wangari Maathai, who are not afraid to speak out and who take action.
